Terms of use for pyscripter as of January 1, 2024
1. Scope
These terms of use apply to the software “pyscripter”, developed by codegarden software GmbH. By using the software you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Purpose and functionality
Pyscripter is a tool for creating and publishing software packages based on Python scripts. The applications created can be used commercially or internally.
3. Target group and usage
Pyscripter is aimed at developers who use Python and want to distribute their applications as a Windows app. There is no age limit, but a basic understanding of Python and software development is required.
The use of Pyscripter is permitted both privately and commercially.
Codegarden makes no warranty that Pyscripter is suitable for a particular purpose or meets specific requirements. The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Data protection
Pyscripter does not collect any user data, apart from information necessary for purchasing. The software is operated locally on the user's Windows PC.
5. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Codegarden provides the “pyscripter” software on an “as is” and “as available” basis. There are no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the software or the applications created with it.
Users are entirely responsible for the creation, operation and maintenance of their applications created with Pyscripter. Codegarden shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages (including, without limitation, procurement of substitute goods or services; loss of benefits, data or profits; or business interruption) arising in any way from the use of the software, even if the possibility of such damage has been advised.
This limitation of liability applies even if an authorized representative of codegarden has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damages. codegarden's total liability, regardless of the cause of the action, is limited to the amount the user paid for the software.
Codegarden assumes no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, reliability or timeliness of the information or functions provided in the Software.
6. Copyright, Usage Rights and Restrictions
The copyright to the software “pyscripter” lies with codegarden. Users are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software. Users are not allowed to pass on their access data and are obliged to treat it confidentially. Users may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software or any portion thereof. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Software or to imitate the functionality of the Software are expressly prohibited. These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Violations of these provisions may result in civil and criminal penalties.
7. Changes to Terms of Use
Changes will be communicated via email. By continuing to use the site after any changes, you automatically agree to these changes.
8. Governing Law
German law applies to these terms of use and the use of the software.
9. Additional clauses
Right to information:Codegarden reserves the right to inform users via email about important changes, updates, innovations or other relevant information regarding Pyscripter. These communications may contain notices of new features, improvements, corrections or other relevant topics that may be of interest to the user.
Update policy:Pyscripter periodically runs automatic checks to see if newer versions or updates are available. Users will be informed of such updates and can install them at their own discretion.
